This week I want to start a series of articles that I have picked up regarding this topic.
Rule #1.
Avoid "white" carbohydrates.
A list includes, all bread, rice, cereal, potatoes, pasta and fried foods with breading. If you avoid all of the above foods then you are pretty safe. One reason to avoid the "whities" is chlorine dioxide, one of the chemicals used to bleach flour (even later made brown again, a common trick), combines with residual protein in most of these foods to form alloxan. Researchers use alloxan in lab rats to induce diabetes. THAT'S RIGHT - IT'S USED TO produce DIABETES.
Don't eat white stuff unless you want to get fatter!

Rule #2 next week
Refining the kettle bell "swing"
Shortly I will be posting some video on the swing progression. Should be interesting. If there was one take home message for now it would be "the hips drive, the arms guide". To engage the core the forearms must drive into the groin with the hamstrings loaded to fire the hips forward. Plain and simple.
More next week.
