I am delighted to announce that as a certified instructor I can now assess imbalance in the body that can cause exercise dis function via Gray Cook's Functional Movement Screen.
What is the benefit in this assessmnent? If you watch the film clip conducted by a fellow consultant you will see that seven screenings are carried out that assess and therefore isolate areas of the body that require corrective exercises that improve (over time) movement and stability.
Think about it. If you have a tight hamstring how does your body compensate for that tightness? It will cause you to move through the kinetic chain by countering that weakness. The end result is probably pain or at the very least poor exercise activity. Not good!
